Job responsibilities: 


Make arrangements for a package deliveries and pick ups for truck drivers. Communicate with customers to schedule deliveries by creating a predetermined route for the truck driver. 
Create shipping and dispatch documents:
Truck dispatchers are required to maintain records of driver routes and deliveries with pick up times and truck repairs and maintenance. You will also be required to log customer shipping schedules and complaints and maintain the details of route changes and keep record of drivers CDL and physical. 
Generate freight bills and invoices: 
You will be required to create billing invoice documents for shipments. You will also be responsible for ensuring that drivers receive any necessary documents and equipment before making a pick up. You also invoice customers for payment of shipment pick ups. 

 

Professional skills- 

  • Strong experience in prioritizing work activities. 

  • Able to manage multiple tasks within set deadlines and timelines.

  • Administrative knowledge like scanning documents to update accurate information into systems for organizational use. 

  • Knowledge of transmitting information and instructions in educating cross-border procedures and regulations. 

  • Ability to identify and process problems and issues and make appropriate suggestions for corrective action plans. 

  • Dot Regulations- it is crucial for truck dispatchers to have a strong understanding of transportation regulations and laws in the state they are working. 

  • Microsoft office applications- communicating with vendors and customers often involves using Microsoft outlook and generating reports in logs. 

 

Work location: Remote/From Home 

 

W-2 and full time 

Pay Frequency: Weekly
